Random 5...

T.G.I.F. and how-even though we had Monday off, I'm really glad it's the weekend.
I'm spending my morning with

I've got tons of randomness going on in my head this week-
now that my cold is gone and I can think clearly.

I'm going to my first photography expo in beautiful Pasadena come April. (ahem Nicki!) I'm really excited. It runs for 4 days but I'm only going for decide which day!

A few weeks ago I was saying how the coyotes are back in the neighborhood. Monday, I walked out to get my paper at 6:15 a.m. and I saw a flash of gray scurry before me. I ran down the driveway, in between our cars, & there in the middle of the road was a coyote. We stared at each other for a few seconds and she trotted on. I bent down to pick up the paper, not taking my eyes of her. She stopped again, looked over her shoulder at me for a few more seconds, then scampered off.  Apparently there are several dens through out the golf course in the community where we live. Our house is one street above the 10th hole and that's where Frankie and I  hear them whooping at night after a kill. I won't go into too much detail, but I have to plug my ears REAL TIGHT and I find a song to sing so I don't hear what's going on. We've warned all our neighbors with small pets to keep them in at night.

So here Ms Kitty's food sits...right where I poured it this morning before I left for work, except at this very moment a skunk is eating it. (apparently skunks love cat food)

Frankie put up 30 signs around the neighborhood last week hoping the owner would see her and call us. I hope she's safe and just nervous to come out.

My Dad's Dr. has finally said the words that I've dreaded to hear..."late stage Alzheimer's." I'm not ready and that's all I'm going to say about that.

I do want to close on a couple of good notes-
The Vintage Faire is this Sunday and I can't wait to go shopping, hunting or is it
hunting, shopping?

Here are a few new card designs that will soon be available on my

They're designed to be "Technical"
except for the last one.
It's Technical New York

It's technical The Louvre

It's Technical Cadillac

It's technical The Eiffel Tower

Postcards from Paris

Hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy (TGIF) snapping.

  1. More gorgeous cards, I tell ya, gonna have to switch (I read that they are not making the app for droid) :( I had to call my neighbors when we lived in the Dallas area after my son said to me, mom, there is something in the back yard and I'm pretty sure it's not a cat....well it was not one but two bobcats. Gosh they were gorgeous!! And, I know exactly what you mean about the coyotes, they lived behind our first house and the first time I heard it - it scared me to death.

  2. Love those cards. I live in the mountains with coyotes and other critters. If our drought goes on, I'm sure more and more of them will move down to the cities. It's a shame for them and for the pets they will kill to survive.

  3. Ohhh Pasadena - I would go back in the blink of the eye. Have fun - loads of it.
I hope kitty is safe and merely hiding; with coyotes on the prowl I might be tempted to keep the cat in the garage - but I'll be the first to understand that you can't keep in a cat that wants out.

Have fun at the fair and as always, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your father.

  4. i love the cadillac.... neat effect for the different views. i wish you well on your journey with your Dad - i have worked for 2 families that dealt with that health issue. it was a learning experience. happy weekend!! ( :

  5. The coyotes would make me very nervous. I do hope the kitty is safe and will come out to eat soon...
Have fun in Pasadena. I am sorry about your Dad and will keep him in my prayers...

  6. Ohhhh the coyotes scare me...always a problem in the canyons and the hills...keep those kitties indoors! I love what you did with the technical photos! Is that a program in PS? How did you do that??? Seriously, I want to's very cool! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! xo

  7. Those coyotes would scare me! I hear them around here sometimes way off in the distance, but I think our dog's barking may keep them at bay. We leave our cat's food on the back porch and sometimes we see opossums and raccoons out there eating the food! I guess cat food isn't just for cats.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I will keep you all in my prayers. Sending lots of hugs your way today, friend.

  8. Your cards are wonderful! That is an app? I will have to check that one out too. Coyotes are scary. We haven't seen any around our house for a while, I am glad about that. Keep your kitty safe.

  9. Yikes on the coyotes! We have heard them near us, but I have never seen one. Lovely cards! I'm sorry about your dad, that must be very difficult.

  10. Gorgeous cards! You are on a roll .... woot-woot!!!
Just the word "coyote" scares me! Hope Miss Kitty is okay and just laying low!
    Mwah! **hugs** xoxoxo

  11. Miss Kitty has such a sweet face and I do hope she is okay and not coyote supper. Too bad you didn't have the camera to capture a photo of the coyote. They seem pretty brazen to be living that close to humans. Yep skunks and raccoons love cat food.
Oh I am so sorry to hear the news about your dad. I know that can't be easy and no one is ever prepared for that. Hugs to you.
Your cards are wonderful. I loved the Cadillac and Eiffel Tower ones.

  12. Beautiful cards! Love those happy colors.
    Thanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)

  13. Lovely cards Kelly -- very creative! And so sorry about your dad's diagnosis. Been there -- I'll be thinking of you. xo

  14. More beautiful things going into your shop :) Sorry you had to hear those words about your dad.

  15. Not much spooks me, but coyotes do for some reason.
    These cards are wonderful, Kelly!
