...every last detail
Dear friends,
I'll be away for awhile. I flew to Pensacola Wednesday morning to be with my mom. Her health took an unexpected spiral downward & has been given just a few more precious days. As I watch her slowly slip away, I have great comfort knowing that she brought me into this world and watched me take my first breath, and I'm privileged to see her leave peacefully and take her last.

Kelly, I am so, so very sorry. There's nothing I can say to take the pain away other than to let you know that I have been there, too. It's incredibly hard to lose a parent, but I think there's an even deeper link between mother and child, so to have to say good-bye to her is a heavy burden. If you ever need to talk, please give me a call. It sounds like our paths with our mothers may have been similar in some ways. I am here for you. <>
ReplyDeleteKelly, I'm sending you much love and enveloping you with hugs. What you said about her giving you life and watching you take your first breath and you watching her take her last .... **sigh**
ReplyDeletePlease know that I am here for you .... Talk. Cry. Scream. Silence. I am here.
Much love Sister. xoxoxoxo

Kelly I'm new to your blog but wanted to express my condolences on the loss of your mother. I've lost a parent (my dad in 1998) and know how hard it is. May you find peace and comfort in the knowledge that your mom is no longer in pain and may you cherish every precious memory that you have of her. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteOh, Kelly, I am so sorry to hear this. My prayers for you and your family as you walk this path...may peace be with you.
