One of my favorite memories as a teenager was a saying painted in huge letters over the doors of a hanger on the flight line housing the F-16's that had just arrived on Misawa. It read:
PARDON OUR NOISE, BUT IT IS THE SOUND OF FREEDOM
Even though I was 16, those words had quite an impact in my life & have held a special place in my heart & memory for eternity.
