~Blessing...

Second Chance
...in disguise!
Where to begin-ok-
I'm making these my 1st official Fall photos with Kim Klassen's gorgeous new "Ladder" texture.
They're also 2nd chance pictures on learning & sharing a valuable lesson at making mistakes & forgiveness of ones self. Yesterday, I grabbed my camera, got comfy on the couch to view my pics...my 80 pictures I would download today.
To my horrible, heart dropping, and completely nauseating discovery, the  LCD screen read NO IMAGE. What? How can that be? I looked again...Yep...NO IMAGE just kept staring back at me. Oh there were more than a few choice words as I frantically turned on my computer thinking surely I must have downloaded them-Nope-80 photos no where to be found. (more choice words!) I don't know what I was more upset with-the fact that I lost  80 pictures or more upset with myself at how I could have done something so stupid. I wanted to cry as I was realizing what all was lost-but I didn't. I knew I had to accept the fact they were gone. I was relieved that I'm not a professional & it was a client shoot-That made me feel a whole lot better!
I figured that I would just re-create what had been lost. As I started that task this morning, I realized everything is different. It's a different day, different lighting, different mood- With that said-
I have soothed my ego & can even theorize as to what happened-but it's moot. But because I am who I am, I believe 2nd chances are a blessing in disguise! Lesson learned-

Happy Snapping

  1. These look amazing Kelly. Sorry to hear you lost your previous photos. Must have been heartbreaking. I love the use of KK's new texture. Really beautiful.

I don't think I've seen yellow bougainvillea before. We have the purple and fuchsia colored all over our neighborhood. They are one of my favorites. I don't think I've ever taken any macro shots of them. You're inspiring me once again to take some when they start blooming again. :-)
