Friday's letters...

... & randomness

Dear Week,
I blinked & poof the weekend's here already. Before you know it, the holidays will be knocking on our door. (Scary)
I wasn't very enthusiastic about picking up my camera this week...other than shooting for Monday Listicles
over at Stasha's.

Dear Blogging Friends,
Wednesday was such a weird day~it wasn't that it was bad, it just was...one of those days. You were there for me and I'm so grateful.
~Thank you~

Dear Jamie & Brian,
Do you even know how excited we are for

Erik Philip

to be here?
Oh my, that new baby smell, those toes, those lips, that belly...
~I love you three~

I'm sharing over at Nancy's
for Random 5 Friday
I do Random VERY well!

1. I read magazines back to front...but NOT before I tear out those pesky postcards.
2. I do the newspaper's crossword and Sudoko every morning. I'm a firm believer in keeping my synapses firing.
3. I wore white linen after Labor Day...yup...I'm a rebel!
4. Chewbacca is my favorite Stars Wars character-which by the way, I just read today had knee replacement surgery. He's 7' 3'' and suffers from gigantism.
5. I've been wearing glasses since I was 13...I'm working up the nerve to get Lasik.

Happy (find your groove) snapping!
xo

  3. A little boy! How exciting for all of you, Kelly! Let's see, I read magazines from back to front, too. I play word games on my phone before I go to bed also purely for synapses-firing properties I tell myself. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm off today (Friday) to head to a volleyball tournament. I hate missing work, but I will enjoy the three-day weekend and supporting my daughter and her team.

  8. I enjoyed your 5! Congratulations on the upcoming birth! Blessings to your family.

I had Lasik 10 years ago. I have been very pleased with it. My eyes are starting to get a little nearsighted again--will probably have to get bifocals some day. But the time without glasses or contacts has been wonderful.

  10. Oh grandma, are you going to have fun!! And yes, the First thing I do when picking up a magazine is tear out those darn cards...why do you suppose they do that, I think everyone tears those out and tosses them without even a glance at what they are advertising!! And PS, I wore white shoes after Labor Day...giggle!!

  11. Being a Grandma is the best. I LOVE it. I had my lasik appointment all scheduled and called and cancelled. I'm a big chicken as well. But boy would it be nice not to have to wear glasses.

I enjoyed reading your blog this morning.

    Hugs~

  12. Oh I feel you on the magazines! Those darn postcard things make me so mad! Ugh. I'm glad that I don't have to wear glasses, because I don't think I could ever get lasik. Eye surgery totally freaks me out! But I know people who've had it are happy with the results, so I'm sure it's worth it :)

PS - As for the green eggs, yes, I use them just like any other eggs! The color actually has no impact on the flavor of the egg whatsoever. What makes the eggs taste better is if the chickens get time to eat lots of grass and bugs. That makes the yolks so bright yellow, almost orange, with a rich, buttery taste. They can't be beat! :) And thanks for the sweet comment - I'm so glad you're enjoying my blog!

  14. I read magazines backwards too! And newspapers, haha. I've had glasses since I was 10, and was anti-Lasik until I did the consultation and now I'm ready! Go have the free assessment and they'll put you at ease about it. Just knowing the process and what they actually do makes it seem a little better - and they'll medicate you if you need it. ;)
