...cute
NOT to be confused w/Joan Rivers and a "dis" session...On the contrary
Happy Tuesday!
Before I post pics I just wanted to say that So Cal has joined in on the triple digit temps. But I'm not complaining. I've got a pool, A/C, lucky to have had cooler weather 'til now & lots of photos to edit that will keep me happily entertained.
*Case in point! Is this little one stinkin' cute? Looks like I have a new found friend that sits on my patio every morning to watch the feeder. Did you know, hummers are constantly hours close to death? They are very social creatures but am still amazed he lets me get this close-especially when I have that big honkin' 55-250 lens coming right at him! Truth be told, as I slowly approach, (click click) I talk so sweetly & gently. (click click) Compliment him on how brave he is to let me see how good looking he is (click click) I was thrilled that I was able to snap this. I can while away the morning snapping pics of all my backyard critters!
*Me oh my... talk about cuteness overload...puffing up for me! I am adding this photo to Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen cafe - I used her Robin's Egg Texture for this. He's a NATURAL beauty cutie huh?
Oh and Danbo?
*It goes without saying about how cute HE is!!
Happy Snapping!

Your post exudes cuteness! :) Love your bird shots and the texture work on your blue friend.
ReplyDeletePeace!
Great bird captures!
ReplyDeleteOkay, u might have me reconsidering my stance on birds in general :)
ReplyDelete:-) except seagulls....they're gross...and obnoxious!
DeleteOh wowzer, that first shot of the hummer is pretty darn amazing, my dear. I love bird shots and both of these are down right stunning. Great job, you natural born photographer you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deanna....I truly love nature...
DeleteSuch beautiful birds! I can never get that lucky when I'm shooting birds...
ReplyDeleteYou must also have patience to capture these beauties I'm betting...
ReplyDeleteI do. But it's so easy when you are doing what u love
DeleteThey ARE stinkin' cute!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFYI...I moved my hummingbird feeder to underneath a tree ... hopefully I will soon see some of those little creatures!
Mwah!
xoxo
Swoon....I love birds....used to have eight at one time and when people would call our house they asked where I was! haha
ReplyDeleteYes, I did know that those little hummers get that close to death - it's amazing how low their heart rates go at night just so they don't starve to death. Nature is such a miraculous thing. Blogger is such a strange beast...I never saw your post come through my feed yesterday? Only now as I'm going back, weird....
Oh, and P.S...I'm in love with Danbo!! ; )
Yes, we have real July weather here in CA now! Crank up that A/C! I am having a cuteness overload between the birds and DANBO ♥ Now wherever did he find that darling little McDonald's cup?!
ReplyDeleteCrank it up is right! the humidity wears me out! Danbo gets his cute things from Japan...when ever Frankie gets to go...which hasn't been a lot lately! Thanks Geri.
DeleteHey there!!! All is good...I swear! Just a crazy busy summer and I don't have as much time to blog (which makes me sad!!!). Things are slowing down just a bit and I hope to be posting more. What a joy to see these photos! I have missed you! If you want to email me please do! caroline@nowordzphotography.com
ReplyDeleteUm... It's cold here. Swear it is! Not complaining, but ... where's our triple digit heat? Today it looked as though it would haul off and storm, yet it didn't. Humid for sure, but chilly despite the fact. Weird weather everywhere it seems this summer. And I'm with you, the humidity really gets to me too!
ReplyDeleteThat said, GREAT photos and BEAUTIFUL processing!!
Big ol' San Diego Hugs from me to you, girl!
xx
Having hummers sit like that to be perfectly captured on film is absolutely awesome!! Great textures on your photos. A really fun post to read!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverly!!!
DeleteThese are wonderful Kelly!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the first one.
Happy Sunday to you!
Thank u Lisa!
