Would you like to ride...

...in my beautiful balloon?

Kim's "LISA" was used in the above photo.  Florabella's Vintage Wine, soft light and 1968 were also added

Some of you know that Frankie and I recently returned from a road trip from the Grand Canyon. (Which btw, if it's on your bucket list, I highly suggest it move it to the top!) We drove from the canyon over to Sedona, checked into our hotel & quickly fell asleep for a 5:20 a.m. pick up for a sunrise balloon ride. I know some of you may be saying you could never do this because you are afraid of hts. Well, I'm here to tell you that I conquered my fear of heights and was only completely and utterly engrossed at the beauty of the Sedona desert.
We had a fabulous balloon company, Red Rock Balloons  who did an amazing job of piloting our balloon from take off to landing.
(I still won't like to have to climb a ladder, but I can sure ride in a balloon!)

From the minute you take off, the first thing you notice (besides the breathtaking landscape) is how absolutely quiet it is. There's a stillness and a peace that washes over you that I can only assume one would get in an open air basket, floating across the desert.

Sharing over at Kim's Cafe for a free & easy Texture Tuesday e-dition

Happy (Texture Tuesday) snapping!

  8. So glad you enjoyed your trip to AZ and your shots are amazing! I've been up in a balloon in Napa but never Sedona, which is crazy since I live in AZ! I know what you mean about the quiet. I thought that was just wonderful!
