You know what's great...

...about CA winters?

There's never a shortage of color. There are a few trees that shed their leaves-but it's CA so we have lots of palms & evergreens. And no matter what, there are always flowers blooming. I could while away an entire day trying to capture that perfect bee shot. Looking through my lens gives a whole new meaning & perspective to life so precious and often unnoticed. It  keeps me so enraptured, that time  stands still for me...

  1. You are going to think I am nuts...but I love being back in Chicago for winter. I really do. BUT this is a gorgeous shot and every now and then I could use a 70 degree day! LOL

  3. Yes. California winters are much different than most others, huh? I happen to live in California too, so I know first hand. I while I love it here and wouldn't want to live anywhere else . . . I have to admit I do sometimes wish for more of an "autumn" where there are literally splashes of color everywhere. And bleak winter branches, dressed in frosty white blankets, would be nice to photograph every once in a while too. I lived in Portland for a few years and we had autumn and sometimes a snow here or there. Unfortunately I wasn't into photographing then. Oh well . . . Beautiful photograph and bee! :)
