Life...

...and curve balls

*Hello friends. Yes, life threw me a curve ball. Two things about those buggers...
1-You're NEVER expecting them, (hence the curve!)
2-Everything falls by the wayside. Everyday life is all of a sudden halted. You are forced to re-evaluate everything that is sacred and important. Simple things, like picking up your camera just don't have the same meaning as before the curve ball. But on this particular day...the day I got whacked, I was outside taking a breather. There she was, my sign of hope, just hanging on to who knows what. It might as well have been a side of a mountain for this creature. I couldn't let the moment go. I needed to record it for my sanity. For proof that everything will be ok. I am the forever optimist and even though there are going to be tough roads ahead, I know I will hang on, move on and not let a curve ball get the best of me.
Happy Snapping

  3. curve balls have a way of grabbing your attention - hang in there, as they say 'what doesn't kill us makes us stronger' (I know, I know - we women should be regular sherman tanks of strength given that theory). Great macro shot.

  5. Oh I know the curve ball feeling all too well, Kel. It does make picking up our camera feel a little less inspiring, to be sure. Hear ya sweet thing. But, your little ladybug came along at the right time it seems - to inspire you, bring you back to your creative well-being for a moment, so that's good. I've been laying a bit low myself lately, curve ball effect mind you, and also I am reevaluating things, my photography and writing career - that sort of thing. I feel I need to focus more on them than Flickr, and workshops, and what-not. Though. I do and have learned a lot in all the workshops I've taken. I just feel the need to take a few steps back for now is all - not quite altogether, but just mellow my cello is all. So again, I hear you!

Feel better soon sweet girl. Stay in touch, I will with you, that's a promise.

  6. Whoops! I misspelled quit. LOL... Ugh... And also, I mistakingly put a period where a comma should have been after the word "though." Yeah ... Some editor I am. NOT... ;)

  8. p.s.

I hope you're feeling a little better today. Curve balls I've decided are better than hair balls. Well, that's what my cat tells me anyway, so I thought I'd share the good news with you. Thought maybe it'd help you feel a little better :)

    Thinking about you, sweet girl.

Take care and hope to see you around soon.

  10. Anyone can hit a fast ball...it's knowing how to hit the curve that sets you above the others. The trick is to sit back, wait on it, judge the motion...and then smack it dead on. I have NO DOUBT that is what you are going to do.
