...tuesday
& other goodies
I'm linking up with Kim Klassen
today as I have a goodie to share...
I've been looking patiently for a Brownie.
In fact...every 4th Sunday for almost a year, patiently at the Topanga Vintage Fair. This past Sunday paid off...in more ways than just my new beauty. I've been sharing over at IG...but I think Friday's Finds will be a fine time to share my other treasure.
This week I hit the mother lode...I actually got brave and shot the sights that I swoon over...
I want one of these...
...someday
Ok...how many of you cut your baby doll's hair thinking it would grow back...say aye
AYE
(hee hee)
160 vendors with more rusty, crusty, olde, new, gotta have it, want it, what the heck, I remember those,
really? decaying, why didn't I think of that goodies...
...stall after stall after stall.
It's total eye candy that leaves you feeling nostalgic.
And I'll tell ya something else I love about the 4th Sunday of every month...
People talk to each other...I mean like face to face. They'll tell you their stories and there's laughter from friends new and old getting together, bartering, and shaking hands and walking away with one mans trash that is now another's treasure.
I've walked away some weeks totally empty handed...but my heart is full.
Happy (vintage shopping) snapping
xo

Great vintage items. I am just about ready to buy a brownie camera.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful place! Your photos are wonderful. have fun with that new camera!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I love everyone of these shots, Kelly. They're gorgeous and that baby doll did bring back memories. So, question for you: What software do you use when you add textures to your photos? I love your treatment of the Brownie photo. Oh, and hurray for all your great finds.
ReplyDeleteCan I come hang with you the 4th Sunday of the month? I ADORE this kind of way to spend a day! Congrats on the Brownie :). That was my first camera.
ReplyDeleteTell ya what... You take me to Jersey shore and we can hang out the 4th Sunday of every month!! Xo
Deleteoh my goodness you found a real treasure. can't wait to see what you shoot with it. :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice you've found that Brownie, Kelly !
ReplyDeleteLove all vintage treasures :-)
Nice week,
Sylvia
I want what you want and I really want to see your Friday Find!
ReplyDeleteBeauty overload!!!!!!! Yeah, I'm totally with you on the wants. And bravo for taking photos in public, that is on my Bucket List.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've been looking for one like the one that was my first ever camera that I won selling American seeds when I was only about in the 3rd or 4th grade. Your post made me so remember those days. I took picture after picture of the sky, friends at school, the ground, anything and have loved photography ever since. I'm still looking just to have it for nostalgia. I also so addicted to Thrift shopping. The comaraderie sounds nice since it is a lost art at times where I live.

Congratulations on your 'new' Brownie! And that is one of my favorite quotes, too. Have a wonderful day, Kelly!

PS Love your new name stamp w/justaclickaway! Well done!
You hit the mother load, even if just visually. Great find on the Brownie. I really should visit the local flea market, if for no other reason than to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful finds - and it sounds like a great market to visit!
ReplyDeleteHave to say AYE.. Hehe.. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful series :)
